URGENTLY RECRUITING FOR FABRICATOR TECHNICIAN

Beginning Salary of Up To $24 per Hour.

Seeking Candidates for 1st Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am to 4:3 pm.

As a Fabricator at PPG, you will play an integral role in our operations, ensuring that we deliver high-quality products to our customers in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manages and relocates varying sizes of steel plates
• Measures and cuts steel, tubing, and angle pieces of different dimensions
• Drills and punches holes in different steel components
• Locates and marks cutting and bending lines on workpieces
• Hammer, chip, and grind workpieces to bend, cut, and straighten metal
• Preheats workpieces
• Aligns, positions, fits, and welds parts together
• Creates templates and fixtures
• Confirms that workpieces conform to specifications
• Produces and assembles sheet metal products
• Operates fabricating shop machine tools such as shears, press brakes, punch presses, and material handling equipment
• Uses plasma arc cutter and torch

Requirements

• 1 - 2 years of welding experience (MIG, TIG, STICK, etc.)
• 1-2 years of basic blueprint reading experience is required.
• 1-2 years of PVC pipe and fitting plumbing experience
• Occasional travel may be required, but it is less than 10% of the time
