Overview:

This position is Open for Remote work.

The Marketing department of The IRONMAN Group is tasked with generating and converting demand for The IRONMAN Group’s portfolio of mass participation events, affiliated brands and products, creating value for customers, and profitable growth strategies for the business.

The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing The IRONMAN Group’s digital customer relationship and lifecycle strategies as it relates to all direct marketing channels, with a strong emphasis on email marketing. The Email Marketing Specialist will work closely with the event marketing, social media, merchandise, event operations and sales teams, as well as external supporting agencies. Reporting to the Email Marketing Manager - North America, and contributing to the Global/ Corporate, North American and Latin American business units, the post holder will be supremely organized, a strong multi-tasker, clear communicator, possess exceptional attention to detail, be creative, self-driven, and with an inquisitive spirit.

Responsibilities:

Work with CRM leadership to develop and execute all email marketing campaigns for a variety of brands at The IRONMAN Group; including athlete communications, marketing campaigns, e-commerce and partnership emails.

  • Collaborate with external support agencies to manage workload and deliver against deadlines. Plan and execute A/B email tests, report results and make recommendations for improvements based on those results.
  • Implement and adjust automated and nurture campaigns based on project objectives and ‘always on’ strategies.
  • Manage and optimize the design, content, layout, customer segmentation and messaging strategies for direct marketing communications.
  • Work with internal and external creative resources to develop effective designs for all marketing communications and supporting digital experiences.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends for tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Collaborate with partnerships and sales teams on contract-based partner inclusions and best practices.
  • Identify key metrics to analyze and monitor email performance within the different IRONMAN email subscriptions.
  • Contribute to the management and hygiene of data.
Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize a dynamic workload

  • An analytical perspective
  • Proficient in Marketo Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a benefit
  • Knowledge of Trello a benefit
  • Ability to work some non-traditional hours
  • A passion for an active lifestyle is a plus
