Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

The Project Management Office (PMO) within AMD’s Data Center GPU (DCGPU) group has an immediate opening for a GPU Manufacturing Readiness Program Manager. In this role, you will be working closely with the GPU development leadership team supporting Instinct™ accelerators. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong understanding of the ASIC and PCB manufacturing processes, experience with the NPI to production transition process, a solid background working with project management techniques, excellent communication skills, and a desire to work with cross-functional teams to develop ground-breaking products. Your contributions will make a pronounced difference to future AMD GPUs for High Performance Computing (HPC) and Machine Learning (ML).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will be required to:

  • Lead a core team of key manufacturing stakeholders
  • Coordinate NPI to Production transition activities across a large cross functional team including engineering, global operations and the business unit
  • Build schedules to drive manufacturing test deliverables
  • Identify risks and define mitigation strategies to address
  • Provide clear and timely communications to multiple stakeholders

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5+ years of technical program management experience on projects with medium to high complexity
  • Working knowledge of ASIC and PCB manufacturing processes, including test flow and yield risks for various mfg stages
  • Proficient in productivity tools including Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, OneNote, and Excel
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and be a team player
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems, work with ambiguity and be self-motivated
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred qualifications:

  • PMP certificate
  • Prior ASIC project management experience

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience preferred.
