Aston Carter is seeking a M&A Consultant to support multiple acquisitions for a company located in Warren, MI.

Description:

This position will be working closely with executive leadership on their M&A strategy and processes. When the organization is looking to acquire another company, this person will be heavily involved in the facilitation and analysis of the overall financial data being exchanged. They will work closely with their 3rd party accounting firm that is helping them with the acquisition process along with the other internal financial leadership. They will play a major role in the evaluation process of the financials in presenting them to executive leadership when making key decisions on the acquisition process.

The organization is also currently going through an ERP implementation. So at times this role may also jump in and support some of the monthly and quarterly reporting supporting the current controller.

The company currently is using the ERP system SAGE and is implementing MS Dynamics. They will work mostly within Sage and Excel through the financial reporting and accounting processes. This organization is a project based manufacturing company that supplies large pieces of automation equipment to their customers. Therefore the payables are heavily focused on materials, labor, and engineering costs. Their AR does work on a project timeline with their customers where they can invoice their customers at various points of the projects. It would help if this person has any experience at a project based company where they understand that type of invoicing process.
