Kirton McConkie, a large Salt Lake City law firm, has an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced legal assistant to work in its corporate section. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can-do" attitude, and have the ability to multi-task in a high volume, time-sensitive, and high-profile environment.
Responsibilities

  • Research federal, state, and local matters;
  • Make multi-jurisdictional filings;
  • Interface with internal and external clients
  • Format and construct various correspondence and other legal documents;
  • Manage correspondence between attorney and clients;
  • Organize, file, and maintain physical and electronic files in a paperless environment;
  • Oversight of individual client preferences, client accounts, client invoices and requests;
  • Maintain attorney calendar;
  • Client Intake;
  • Drafting basic forms;
  • Proofreading draft documents
  • Provide proactive and advanced legal support; and
  • Other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commercial registered agents and business search requests in foreign jurisdictions;
  • Knowledge of court requirements and procedures;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure;
  • High attention to detail, be proactive, and self-motivated;
  • Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Professional appearance and attitude;
  • Two years of corporate and/or related transactional experience preferred; and
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
