Join a dynamic team that’s using Agile to develop the next generation of Ultrasound Systems. As a Lead Service Integrator, you’ll be working on products that deliver state-of-the-art technology providing high performing clinical solutions for caregivers. With a focus on coordination of all service deliverables for the program, this position provides exposure to the complete system and requires communication with cross-functional teams within GE Healthcare. This position will help drive product improvement through customer support by troubleshooting with field service to address customer issues and collecting customer feedback to share with engineers. Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Performing reviews for serviceability on prototype and early manufacturing builds.

  • Leading the planning, communication and execution of product introduction strategies that ensure global Service readiness by working with product development and service teams.

  • Supporting field service engineers to troubleshoot and address customer issues.

  • Collecting current service metric and driving improvements in productivity and quality based on the analysis within the new product development programs.

  • Setting field replacement unit and product repair strategies and interfacing with Global Parts and Service Operations.

  • Defining procedures for installation, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance and field modifications, providing content for service training, and creating and coordinating the execution of the Service Documentation verification plans and procedures.

  • Coordinating service validation activities with GE service personnel.

  • Compiling pilot site feedback, supporting field team, and leading the corrective and preventative action process.

  • Coordinating and delivering early readiness training for product introductions to global service catchers.

  • Analyzing trended customer complaint data for improvement opportunities in the products or service processes.

  • Supporting product maintenance releases after initial commercial release throughout the entire product life cycle.

  • Developing continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.

  • Maintaining effective quality systems compliant with GE Quality policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, System Engineering or closely related discipline.

  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering and/or service experience in a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience successfully leading and delivering projects.

  • Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging system design problems.

  • Understanding of system design concepts and subsystem interactions and interfaces.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other closely related fields.

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in positions of increased responsibility.

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation.

  • Demonstrated technical leadership capability working on a product development team.

  • Experience working on medical device programs.

  • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented and able to multi-task.

  • Strong desire to drive change and improvements in processes and designs.

  • Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills.

  • Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets.

  • Global project experience.

  • Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs.

  • Experience working in Agile or Scaled Agile Framework.
