Pay range and Compensation Package

Salary ranges may vary depending on location. The general hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. Actual compensation depends on education, experience and relevant skills.

About the Position

The NCMS IT Business Analyst will work with the business stakeholders, application developers, and the project management team. This position will ensure that the company’s business units’ operational needs are met by performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing user acceptance testing. The IT Business Analyst will work within the scope of responsibilities as dictated below with guidance and support from the CIO and the IT management team.

Essential Functions

  • Evaluates business processes, anticipates requirements, uncovers areas for improvement, and develops and implements solutions.
  • Leads ongoing reviews of business processes and develops optimization strategies.
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Conducts meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Performs requirements analysis.
  • Effectively communicates insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Ensures solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Adapts quickly to frequent process changes and improvements.
  • Is reliable, engaged, and provides feedback as to improve processes and policies.
  • Attends all department, team, and company meetings as required.

  • Candidates must successfully pass a background check.

  • Monitors deliverables and ensures timely completion of projects.
  • Performs user acceptance testing.
  • Updates, implements, and maintains procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • May perform any additional responsibilities or special projects as required.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be subject to change based upon the needs of the department.
Requirements:
  • Studies within the following fields: Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Business Information Systems, Logistics, Statistics, Sociology, Political Science or Finance
  • BS Degree or Certification in any of the following:

***Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) – INFORMS

***Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) – International Institute of Business Analysis

***Certified Management Consultant (CMC) – Institute of Management Consultants USA

***PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) – Project Management Institute •

  • 5-10 years’ experience relative to the role
  • Working knowledge of database techniques and tools (SQL) - (Preferred)
