Job Summary The Material Handler will report to the Warehouse Manager and be responsible for playing a key role in supporting the warehouse distribution and operations team in a fast-paced work environment. This position will start in the Carowinds warehouse location and move to Safeguard Medical HQ in Huntersville, NC in early spring 2023. Essential Job Functions • Maintains the required documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified operation procedures. • Operates various pieces of equipment used for material handling such as forklifts, pallet jacks, rolling carts and wrapping machines. • Stores raw materials and finished goods in appropriate locations and provides completed documentation to Inventory Control Specialist. • Ensures warehouse work areas and other designated areas are maintained in a safe and orderly manner by complying with company standard operating procedures, rules and regulations. • Transports bulk material to warehousing and production areas as required. • Maintains inventory accuracy by ensuring inventory counts are correct, reports inaccuracy immediately to the Inventory Control Specialist. • Performs work according to GMP and ISO guidelines. • Completes training to stay current with job and procedural requirements.

Qualifications • Preferred high school diploma or GED • 1-3 years’ experience with warehousing, manufacturing, inventory, or related functions • Proficient in ERP software for data entry, part scanning or transacting, printing pick list or other required documentation • Forklift Certification required. • Lean 6 sigma training desired Please ask about inventory, Excel, and ERP knowledge Physical Requirements Performing the duties of this job requires the ability to stand for an 8+ hour shift. Must have the ability to lift and move 50+ lbs. Vision requirements include the ability for close vision, to adjust focus, and to color code. Mental Requirements This position requires the ability to maintain an appropriate work pace in a fast-paced environment, comprehend and follow instructions. Other Requirements Must be able to understand oral and written instructions. Good judgment and decision-making ability are necessary. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good math and record keeping skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
