Job Description


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Engagement, the Senior Internal Communications Specialist will partner with business leadership and People & Culture team stakeholders to design and deploy innovative, engaging, and impactful programs in support of Zscaler’s Employee Value Proposition and Internal Communications. The Internal Communications Manager will be a core contributor to ensuring Zscaler is recognized as an employer of choice, and that employees have access to the information they need to do their best work.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of internal and executive communications and employee engagement, and a track record of designing and deploying innovative solutions that generate results. This position requires an ability to think strategically about problems as well as a knack for tactical execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager, Employee Engagement, business leadership and People & Culture team stakeholders to define and communicate Zscaler’s Employee Value Proposition and Employment Brand
  • Collaborate with key business and People & Culture team stakeholders to amplify workplace culture and translate strategy via internal communications that motivate and engage
  • Manage and deliver People & Culture team communications strategy including the Zscaler intranet and people program communications, in partnership with the Senior Manager, Employee Engagement
  • Own and manage internal communications infrastructure and key channels
  • Contribute to planning and executing department and/or company meetings such as All Hands

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience with internal corporate communications or culture communications, preferably in the technology space; providing internal communications guidance to and influencing leadership, devising communications strategies and maintaining good judgment
  • Must have a writing samples (preferably Change management, culture storytelling with emotional connection)
  • Track record of building robust communications and change management programs that deliver results
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills and a proven ability to keep stakeholders informed and included in a way that builds trust
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while managing a complex workload

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience developing an Employee Value Proposition for a global high-growth brand
  • Excellent business and People Operations acumen; comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in a rapidly changing, global, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into tactical initiatives
  • Able to proactively anticipate communication needs while also responding to developing situations

This is a hybrid position in our San Jose home office

The base salary range for this full-time position is 105,000 to 127,500 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
