Position overview

Sports Info Solutions (SIS) is looking for a new team member to fill a Full-Time position in our Injury Operations department as an Injury Associate. The Injury Associate will assist with the upkeep of several comprehensive injury datasets currently used by professional and collegiate sports teams, sportsbooks, media and more. They will be asked to review injury videos across football, baseball and basketball to determine anatomical structures involved and a possible diagnosis based on mechanism of injury, the athlete's reaction and the athletic trainer's on-field evaluation. This injury expert will have opportunities to carve out additional roles based on their interests in areas such as content creation, writing, podcasting and research.

What you’ll do as Injury Associate on the team at SIS:


Includes (but is not limited to):

  • Record injury data of all athletes in NFL, NCAAF, MLB, MiLB and NBA.
  • Review and audit injury events using video, media sources and official team reporting.
  • Contribute to projects assigned by the Research & Development team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create weekly player participation projections.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

If you possess the following, you are well on your way to making an impact at SIS:

  • Ability to perform injury data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Google Workplace suite of products.
  • Passionate about sports injuries.


Nice to have, but not required qualifications

  • Experience writing medical/injury articles or content.
  • Proficiency using SQL (Structured Query Language).
  • Strong verbal skills.
  • Experience using video to diagnose injury.
