The Role

  • This is a working Manager position; the selected candidate will be required to perform in a leadership role as well as maintain technical knowledge and skills.
  • Manager, Infrastructure leads, directs and provides day-to-day oversight and management of data centers, data network, telecommunications infrastructure and technical facilities for the Commission.
  • The scope of responsibilities includes management of a 24/7/365 mission critical data center and infrastructure operations, including oversight of related infrastructure activities in all project phases beginning with requirements gathering through implementation, with on-going production and on-call support.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Oversees and directs all aspects of the 24/7/365 mission critical data center and network/telecommunication infrastructure operations; including planning, designing, implementing, deploying, supporting and maintaining functions
  • Exercises leadership and day-to-day management of technical teams tasked with the operations of the data center, data network, telecom network, call/contact center systems operations and services
  • Serves as the senior-level escalation point for data center operations and infrastructure managers and staff that responds and resolves all infrastructure operational issues
  • Establishes high performance and optimized data center, network operations center and telecommunication infrastructure, facilities and services
  • Manages external vendor relationships with contract administrators to review, negotiate, and revise relevant contracts
  • Oversees the management of service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors and service providers
  • Develops policies and procedures for all IT infrastructure operating environments
  • Reports key metrics on data center and network/telecommunication infrastructure operational activity
  • Serves as liaison with governmental and non-governmental entities anticipating the acquisition or maintenance of communications equipment at Commission facilities; manages such relationships and SLAs
  • Manages and oversees the maintenance of all assets for the data center, networks, telecommunications and other infrastructure
  • Provides strategic direction for growth with business plans for technology infrastructure operations capacity planning
  • Designs infrastructure technology services to meet business SLAs
  • Supervises employees including selecting, training, assigning and evaluating work, counseling, disciplining, and/or terminating
  • Performs other related duties as required

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 4 years of Azure Identity Management configuration and Support
  • 5 years of SAML / SSO design and solutioning experience
  • 3 years of Identity Governance
  • 4-5 years of M365 Governance and Subject Matter Expertise
  • 4-5 years of Cloud Ops engineering
  • 5+ year managing/leading technology teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, IT or related discipline
  • Experience with infrastructure/network operations support and PBX implementation and support
  • Experience developing and implementing operational plans, which may include budgets, processes and infrastructure methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience implementing call center and contact center solutions for enterprise
  • Experience in operations, project applications and project management
  • Experience designing, managing and implementing network and data center infrastructure to support organization’s disaster recovery/COOP and business continuity plans

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
