Human Resources Generalist Job Description:

Apex Behavior Consulting is looking for a skilled and proficient Human Resources Generalist to support the daily functions of the organization and partner closely with the Employee Relations Leadership Team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for daily functions including hiring, terminations, administering benefits, enforcing company policy, employee relations, training and development.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Supports the internal hiring process including interviewing applicants and ordering background checks.
  • Implements new hire orientation.
  • Provides HR guidance as well as training related to HR processes.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave requests.
  • Responds to employee inquiries continually building positive, productive, respectful, and trusting employee relations.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the leadership team.
  • Manage the employee termination process.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and benefit programs.
  • Coordinates training programs, personal care and development, performance review process and benefits programs.
  • Maintains digital files for employees and their documents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or Human Resources preferred
  • Human Resources Professional Certification Preferred through SHIRM or similar.
  • 2 years of experience in a human resources role including experience with compliance and employee relations.
  • Clinical Office/ Behavioral Health experience preferred but not required.
  • Extensive computer skills, Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and others.
  • High level of integrity and discretion regarding the handling of confidential and/or sensitive information.
  • Must possess attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, judgment and conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to enhance the employee experience, assist in the development of team building efforts and support an inclusive environment for all employees.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time, salaried position. We value a healthy work life balance for all our employees. Employees are considered full-time at 30 hours/week.
  • This is an in-person position. Our main office is located in Millcreek, UT (84106).
  • Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm.
  • Possibility of having a flexible work schedule.
