The Role:

Apex Social is a concierge placement service. Our expertise is in attracting great talent and helping our clients be great household employers and retain their Care Professionals by offering an excellent employment experience and great benefits.

The Household Employment Specialist is responsible for onboarding families as household employers and Care Professionals as employees nationwide. The Household Employment Specialist will provide ongoing support throughout the employment process from job offer to partnering with a payroll company to managing the performance review cycle.

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Educate and guide families through the hiring process to ensure that they:
  • Set expectations accurately with your new employee
  • Create a job offer inclusive not only of pay but also the benefits offered
  • Stay in compliance with local and federal laws governing housheold employment and the J-1 visa program
  • Educate and guide Care Professionals through the hiring process to ensure that they
  • Understand the job offer presented to them including pay rate, deductions, benefits and expectations
  • Are able to ask any questions and understand tax and any other deductions that will be made from their paycheck
  • Are prepared and supported during tax season

HR General Duties:

  • Prepare employment references for Care Professionals in coordination with family employers and ACD managers
  • Become familiar with and stay up to date with local, state and federal laws in relation to household employment and labor laws as well as the J-1 visa program.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience
  • Bilingual, German & English preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work as a team player and a self-starter who can work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to work in a virtual environment via telecommute over high speed internet access in a quiet and protected workspace free from background noise such that the performance of duties is done in the most professional manner.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Consistent, positive attitude.
