Summary

This position provides guests with information and services, greeting and completing hotel check-in procedures

Pay range for this position is between $18.50 and $21.00, depending on experience.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides excellent customer service to our guests upon check-in
• Answer all phone calls in a professional manner, providing accurate information to the caller
• Complete all checklist items by end of shift
• Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, ensuring accuracy and accommodating special requests if possible
• Follows appropriate key handling policy
• Ensure proper credit policies are followed
• Submit all lost found articles accompanied by a completed lost found report
• Counts and verifies daily bank is accurate
• Monitor room availability throughout the day
• Communicate by telephone and/or radio with other departments as needed
• Familiarize guests with points of interest, restaurants, activities, and hotel facilities
• Know about all daily hotel functions, locations, and times for appropriate guest direction
• Other duties as assigned

  Must be over 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred
• 1 year of guest / customer service skills preferred

Supervision Given and Received
Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Received: Works under direct supervision of Front Office Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, see, hear, stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
Regularly work/drive in adverse weather conditions. Frequently drive in bright sunlight and at night. Exposure to noises that cause distraction and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces. Must be able to constantly lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance.
