Retail Team Lead - Food Service

In Food Services, the Team Leader will be primarily responsible for one area, such as Production, Retail , Patient Services or general operations, but is required to be knowledgeable in all areas. All Team Leaders are responsible for training and leading a group of employees.
When primarily supporting Retail, the Team Leader ensures front of house operations are running smoothly with emphasis on customer satisfaction and food safety practices. The Team Leader also needs to be comfortable with cash handling situations and service recovery. When primarily supporting Patient Services or general operations, the Team Leader is responsible for following food safety practices while ensuring customer and patient satisfaction.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday rotating (6am-2:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 5pm-1:30am, and weekends). Available every other weekend and holidays.
The salary starts at $23/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve any production issues that arise
- HACCP focused with TDH and City regulatory requirements in mind
- Ongoing and initial training of staff to ensure competency
- Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patients we service and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues related to our population
- Staff evaluations/conflict resolution/development/reprimand
- Mathematical and analytical skills to oversee and make recommendations to budget/cost control/financial reports and other analytical reporting
- Daily use of cbord/Kronos/Lawson
- Assist Food Service Department as needed with additional duties
- Identifies areas of risk/problems advises food service leadership. Works on resolution while keeping leadership informed
Experience
At least 5 years experience in food services, 3 years food service leadership experience, preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Licenses and Certifications
Obtain Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire, and maintain current status thereafter
