As a Financial Coordinator, you will work in an environment that encourages learning, team cohesion, and puts patients first.

The successful candidate will be hard-working, self motivated, energetic, friendly, dependable, possess a high level of attention to detail and take pride in their work, while bringing a passion for helping our team provide the best patient care to the community! Prior work experience in a dental front office with knowledge of insurance and billing procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, process and manage insurance claims and pre-authorizations
  • Contact patients to review pre-authorizations and answer any questions
  • Enter insurance into patients accounts
  • Verify patient's eligibility/benefits 2 days prior to dental appointment
  • Post payments
  • Issue billing statements to patients once all claims are closed
  • Work with insurance companies to monitor claims status, pursue and dispute claim denials, elevate claims to appeals, and/or seek all methods to resolve open claims
  • Support office by explaining patient account history, assist with communication of financial policy, and communicating with patients who have questions on insurance or billing items
  • Maintain accounts receivable aging reports and constantly review and resolve past due, credit, and debit balances
  • Work with Collection Agency for non-payment accounts
  • Assist office with properly communicating with patients regarding pre-payments, open balances, and past-due accounts
  • Issue periodic reports on accounts receivable and billing performance to Owners
  • Support office manager in enforcing proper front desk, treatment plan presentations, and in-office financial policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous dental billing, coding and posting experience (preferred)

Be self-managed, goal and detail oriented with the initiative to learn and grow

Ability to work as a team and independently
