Job Description

Staffmark is assisting a very established corporation in Mayfield Heights, OH to fill a role in the Facilities Maintenance department. The company is in need of a Facility Maintenance Associate that not only has the mechanical skills but has interpersonal professional skills as well. This candidate must be able to communicate with individuals on a corporate level and handle themselves in a professional manner at all times. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift working 4 days a week, 10 hour shifts, alternating Friday's and Monday's off. Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Preventative Maintenance and repairs inside and outside of the facility
  • Communicating and completing/supporting quality checks with different contractors
  • Periodically completing inspections of electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical equipment
  • Using hand and power tools to perform basic operations to maintain and repair general electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
  • Completing maintenance requests for items in need of repair such as lighting, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Initiating and completing work orders for repairs/moves/adds/changes
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 3-5 yrs experience
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of electrical & plumbing operating principles and building functions such as HVAC
  • Ability to work and communicate with outside contractors/vendors, and work independently
  • Ability to work from blueprints/specifications and use hardware tools on an everyday basis.
  • Must have a professional attitude and the ability to communicate with individuals in a corporate setting
