Job Description

Position: Experienced QA Analyst

Location: Chelsea, MA

Major Responsibilities:

  • Creation of specific automated test scripts to validate functionality using Selenium framework
  • Maintain and update exiting automated test assets
  • Gather, create, and manage test data needed for test execution
  • Defining the appropriate Test Cases and Test Scripts to ensure test coverage
  • Analyze requirements and have the ability to provide test approach, identify test impact, and test estimates
  • Test execution activities including Smoke Test, End to End Test, and Regression testing
  • Reporting daily test activity progress for roll up into test team progress summary reports
  • Assure test asset traceability to requirements and other applicable design artifacts
  • Defect reporting, defect triage and follow through to resolution
  • Maintain and archive test assets within the IBM Jazz tool and JIRA
  • Interact with the client and other stakeholders on the project
  • Ability to work in Agile environment

Experience Required:

  • Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills
  • Testing Automation experience is required
  • Previous experience with set up of automated test framework, Selenium is required
  • Experience in iterative software development life cycle methodologies
  • Exposure to API validation is preferred
  • Exposure to JIRA tool is required
  • Experience with Performance scripting and testing
  • Experience with web-based application and browser testing
  • Extensive SQL Query Skills for database validations using tools such as TOAD
  • Experience with interface validation using XML Messages
  • Ability to articulate and document defects and/or issues in a clear and detailed manner
  • Experience with creating daily validation progress reports
  • Extensive experience with JAVA front end and ORACLE back-end validation

Skills Needed:

  • Ability to easily adopt to new tools and processes
  • More than moderate experience working with automated test tools
  • Experience with performance testing and results documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with fellow testers, developers, and management
  • Demonstrated flexibility to meet timelines generally associated with multiple active sprints
  • Ability to multitask during an iterative system development lifecycle
  • Organizational skills needed to maintain, archive, and retrieve test assets efficiently
  • Highly analytical, needs to independently analyze test results and be confident with recommendations
  • Programing skills needed to write test scripts
  • Experience with Child Support Enforcement is preferred
