Yard Equipment Operator

Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is seeking to fill a Yard Equipment Operator position at our Monticello, MS facility. This position adds value by working closely with our team members to kit work orders and maintain parts inventory within the job kit areas. This positions pays $30.03 per hour. The Yard Equipment Operator will work eight (8) hours Monday to Friday, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.

What You Will Do

• Use a forklift to Kit parts and materials for maintenance work using on site stores and received materials with direction from the Material Coordinator and Planners.

• Deliver kits and parts to the job sites using a forklift or truck.
• Help Expedite needed parts during emergency breakdowns.
• Review needed materials for planned work orders for completeness, work with Planners on any oversites of materials
• Participate in outage preparation by pulling all kits and reviewing with craftsman for scheduled jobs
• Organize and maintain a clean part kitting area.
• Perform inspections of received items for work orders, critical spares, and rebuilds for inventory using Precision Standards.
• Track parts not used and report to supervision, returning unused parts to stores.
• Utilize PBM® Framework and Guiding Principles in daily work activities · Follow any other job-related instructions and performing any other job-related duties as assigned

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience operating a forklift.
• One (1) year of prior experience in a storeroom/warehouse department.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Five (5) or more years of experience working in a storeroom/warehouse

• Experience with CMMS systems
• Experience using Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience in a purchasing/sourcing department
• Forklift Certification
• Mobile Crane operator experience
