Title: Industrial Project Engineer

Location: GE Transportation (A Wabtec Company) – Erie, PA

Job Description:

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for the technical/engineering of the assigned projects in terms of scope, timely delivery, quality, and compliance. The Industrial Engineer will interface with respective Wabtec management to execute assigned time and motion studies. The candidate should have a solid engineering background and proven experience with executing time and motion studies on various manufacturing and assembly projects. Additional design experience with GE/Wabtec Locomotives a plus.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develops work measurement procedures and directs time-and-motion studies to promote efficient and economical utilization of personnel and facilities.
• Directs or conducts observation and analysis of personnel and work procedures to determine time-and-motion requirements of job duties
• Works within defined parameters to make decisions and apply concepts to issues of high complexity.
• Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute on critical project milestones.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Experience with GD&T, general manufacturing processes, tooling and Six Sigma.
• Experience working with a 3D modeling software (NX or Solid Works).
• Knowledge of mechanical design and advanced manufacturing processes a bonus qualification.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
