Job Description

AECOM is seeking an _Entry-Level Environmental Engineer_ to be based in our Fort Lauderdale, FL or Coral Gables, FL offices. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.

_This position is expected to begin June/July 2023._

Job Overview:
The Entry-Level Environmental Engineer will assist our Remediation team both in the field and in office, supporting soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to learn new skills and methods on challenging field and office assignments in a collaborative team environment.

_The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to: _

+ Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, groundwater, and remediation system data, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors.

+ Produce accurate and complete documentation of operation, inspections and compliance

+ Field document preparation, field data collection, processing and interpretation.

+ Supporting office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.

+ Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance

+ Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

+ Valid U.S. Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:
+ HAZWOPER 40 Hr Training

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

+ Excellent attention to Health and Safety

+ Coursework or experience providing knowledge relevant to waste management, environmental site assessments, environmental site investigation and characterization, and environmental remediation is preferred

+ Knowledge of environmental sampling practices

Additional Information

+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

+ Travel is required for this position. Candidates will be asked to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record screening upon hire.

+ This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

+ This is an in-office position. Candidates are expected to reside in the Fort Lauderdale/Coral Gables area or relocate if necessary.
