What you will be doing

The role of Engineering Technician I would be the primary person responsible for Field Services day to day rollout operations. This would include pulling all TRAX orders daily, staging & configuring equipment, asset collection, packaging & shipping to designated locations across the organization.

The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receives and Processes End of Life Technology
  • Imaging, configuration, and personalization of computer systems.
  • Configuration of desktop peripherals and network technology.
  • Accountable for hardware/asset tracking.
  • Maintain equipment inventory controls and policies.
  • Package and return equipment for reuse/recycle/disposition.
  • Receive, package, return and maintain equipment accountability.
  • Staging and Configuration of varying types of IT equipment.
  • Picking, Packaging, and shipping of equipment following Albertsons Companies shipping standards.
  • Accurately scan, collect and process of serialized assets into a centralized asset database.
  • Regular operation of a Forklift, as well as a manual or electric pallet jack.
  • Light repair, cleaning, or refurbishment of failed hardware

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate, BA/BS degree preferred or 1+ year’s technical/training/hardware certifications preferred.
  • Retail business, experience with retail store systems, technology systems and hardware preferred.
  • 1+ year’s technical/training/hardware certifications preferred.
  • Experience with configuration of desktop and peripheral technology preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and Interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding or working knowledge of IT hardware and installation models.
  • Basic/working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and related applications
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to precisely follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, some twisting and turning with equipment installs.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
  • Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability and follow through.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Environment:

  • Work may be performed in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
  • May spend long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
  • Will use keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during the course of normal workday.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
  • Workday is fast paced; some evening and weekend work may be required.
