The Director of Accounts Receivable position is responsible for providing leadership and management of the Coke Consolidated Accounts Receivable Team. This position will hire, train, supervise and mentor the individuals that make up the AR leadership team. This role will help develop, build, and drive process improvements and process automation for the AR function.
- Directs, manages, and oversees the day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) operations handling including cash application, route settlement, receivables research, collections management, cash application and receivables reporting.
- Resolves AR operations issues and manages through process improvement and simplification
- Partners with internal customers to provide the timely reporting needed to drive down AR Aging
- Leads AR function portion of Company initiatives – testing, training (SOP’s), documentation, etc.
- Ensures accuracy of AR data through life cycle of receivable (Cash Apps, Settlement, Audits, Collections, etc.) providing training and SOP’s, as needed
- Creates team metrics and manages improvements against those metrics to drive efficiencies by developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls related to billing, revenue recognition, customer collections and cash application.
- Hires, trains, supervises and mentors direct staff
- Experience with hiring, training and supervising employees, strong leadership skills, great interpersonal and verbal communication skills, strong time management and organizational skills, attention to detail, passion for process improvement
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience with SAP FI-GL and FI-CO modules or other major ERP system
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge acquired through 7 or more years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
