Looking for an awake overnight care giver for a vibrant young lady with mobility challenges. All is training will take place at the home she shares with her family in Hopatcong and continue when she moves into her own apartment at Rebecca’s Homestead in Wantage. Overnight duties would include transfers from her power wheelchair to and from bed and her adaptive commode/shower chair. Once in bed individual needs to be adjusted to a comfortable position and repositioned and toileted during the night as/if needed. While she is asleep duties would include laundry, housekeeping and prep for the next day and some downtime. Upon waking duties will include light stretching and bathing and dressing for the day. DSP will prep and give her morning meds and breakfast. About that time her daytime care giver should arrive. Her wheelchair accessible minivan will be used should transportation be needed during a shift. Must speak and read fluent English for communication with a communication board.
Shifts are 9pm-9am part time and full-time hours available. Full time includes medical, dental, vision, retirement and PTO. Part time accrues PTO. Payroll is through Easterseals NJ.
