Internship Program Overview:

As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will be assisting the Marketing & Communications department. In this role, the intern will be mentored on all aspects of digital marketing, from the planning and development stages right through execution.

This Digital Marketing Intern position is a paid volunteer position with a nonprofit organization. We are happy to work with students so that they may receive academic credit or outside funding for their work.

You Will:

  • Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, and digital advertising
  • Conduct research on industry trends and competitors to inform digital marketing strategies
  • Assist in the content gathering and writing for a monthly newsletter
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, including analyzing metrics and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Help manage the company's social media channels, including creating and scheduling content, monitoring engagement, and responding to messages
  • Assist with website updates and maintenance, including creating landing pages and updating website content

You've Gotta Have:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related field
  • Strong interest in digital marketing and eagerness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels and trends, including social media, email marketing, and digital advertising
  • Experience writing for digital and social platforms
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Social Media Scheduling, CMS platforms)
  • Familiarity with marketing automation software, such as Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva a plus

Length of Project:

  • 12 to 16 weeks (based on availability)
