Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph Responsibilities:
The Data Navigator serves as the conduit to bridge the gap between data owners and potential end users thereby enabling broader access and furthering the implementation of data tools and services. The Data Navigator will utilize their working knowledge of data repositories and their understanding of data user needs to conduct outreach across the Intelligence Community (IC) to connect users with datasets aligned with their mission needs. The Data Navigator would provide an understanding of how to access critical data and how the data can be applied to meet mission objectives.
The successful Data Navigator will serve as an IC community SME on data repositories, collections, and mission objectives while marketing new and underutilized data through the course of networking across the IC. A successful data navigator is ultimately a subject matter expert on identifying relevant and pertinent data, establishes a broad-set of IC contacts and connections, and increases data discoverability throughout the IC. The Data Navigator must proactively interact with IC mission partners and be able to document data needs.
Qualifications:
- The desired candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of IC experience.
- The desired candidate will have experience as a targeter, analyst, data scientist or similar end user role that affords an understanding of IC data exploitation and repositories.
- The desired candidate will have broad experience and/or familiarity with various data exploitation tools.
- The desired candidate will have experience with and/or willingness to network and engage broader IC components and units such as targeting cadre, analytic teams, or steering groups.
- The desired candidate will understand data management fundamentals.
