Job Description

Corporate office in Stafford, Texas for a manufacturer has an immediate opening to add a Data Entry Clerk to our team. This role is responsible for typing purchase orders into our database. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy, ability to type 60 w.p.m. or better, have a keen eye for detail, and be thorough with following up with orders. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory.

The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through the database.

Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

  • Type in data provided in purchase orders from customers
  • Work with purchase orders with large numbers of figures without mistakes
  • Verify data to assure accuracy
  • Organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a data entry clerk or similar role
  • Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • High school degree or equivalent
