Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Conduct proposal reviews and coordination
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Review estimate at completion (EAC)
  • Support program management and execution reviews
  • Develop and/or support Intellectual Property strategy
  • Provide general contract administration support
  • Work closely with the Program Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to construct, submit, and negotiate pricing proposals
  • Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues
  • Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks


Qualifications:

  • Typically requires Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance or related field, and five (5) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and three (3) years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, nine (9) years of relevant experience is required
  • The ability to obtain an active and in-scope Secret US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active and In-scope Secret or Top Secret clearance a plus
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals
  • Experience managing US Government contracts or those in a highly regulated industry
  • Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust
  • Experience working is a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective
  • Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skills
  • Related contract administration experience including hands-on proposal preparation and contract negotiations with the US Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience with US Government and US Prime Contractor customers as well as end-user communities in the development and acquisition of major systems
  • Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements
