Overview:
Oasis has an exciting opportunity for a Computer Scientist II located at the Redstone Test Center (RTC) in Huntsville, AL within the RTC/PM ASE Architecture for the Test and Evaluation of Hostile Fire Systems (RATH) Team. RATH’s mission is to provide direct instrumentation and data management support to all Aircraft Survivability test programs at the Redstone Test Center.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics from an accredited* college/university and 3 years of computer programming experience (with 1 of those years consisting of designing data acquisition systems using object oriented programming languages) to include experience with a broad range of test instrumentation and interfaces such as RF-modems, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), analog to digital converters, digital to analog converters, digital I/O, infrared images, infrared radiometers, 1553 bus, IEEE-1394, USB, RS-422, and various high speed parallel interfaces.
- Candidate must be willing to work outdoors up to 60% of the time regardless of weather conditions, to include hot/humid conditions, cold, rainy conditions
- Candidate must be willing and able to work around ammunition and explosives after receiving applicable training/certification
- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- Candidate must be able to come to work early, stay late, and work in shifts as testing schedule dictates
- Candidate must be willing to work at heights using fall protection equipment after receiving applicable training
- Candidate must be willing to work paid overtime hours
- Candidate must be willing to travel at least 30% of the year
- Candidate must be capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Candidate must be both mechanically as well as electrically inclined
- Candidate must possess basic computer skills, to include the ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Candidate must have the ability to prepare informal test reports
- Candidate must work well with others, have a strong work ethic, be a motivated self-starter, be well organized, and be on time to work
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics from an accredited
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 3 years of computer programming experience (with 1 of those years consisting of designing data acquisition systems using object oriented programming languages)
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Active Secret Security Clearance preferred
- Prefer 3 plus years of experience performing engineering duties in Optics, Computer Networks, Fiber Networks and Cisco Switches
- Prefer both mechanical and electrical experience in the testing of military weapons systems
- Demonstrate experience with data management, data organization, data management concepts and development of procedures
- Scripting/programming experience in both the Windows and Linux operating systems
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Individual will support the RTC/PM ASE Architecture for the Test and Evaluation of Hostile Fire Systems (RATH) in the role of Data Manager.
- The Data Manager will be responsible for collecting, processing, archiving, and distributing different types of electronic data in accordance with data type and process guidelines.
- The Data Manager will work daily with test teams in both field and lab environments. The Data Manager will offload data from various types of test systems and consolidate the data into organized structures and then continue to safeguard, track, move and archive data through the life cycle of each test. The Data Manager will have to use specialized software to perform both processing and data transfers, with hands-on use of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- As a member of the RATH Data Management team, the Data Manager will continue to evolve Data Management (DM) processes in a dynamic and growing environment. Physical data processes such as processing, couriering, handling, and shipping of physical storage media is also required.
