Child Care Center Director

Little Lambs Mission Statement: Little Lambs Child Care Center Exists for the purpose of aiding and assisting parents in their God given command, “Bring your children up in the training and instruction of the Lord,” (Eph. 6:4) and serving the Christian Church in teaching God’s Word and making disciples.

Position Summary: The Director shall have full responsibility for the supervision and enforcement of all policies of the early childhood program, as established by the congregation of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the State of Wisconsin, particularly in the areas of curriculum, supervision, staffing, budgeting, recruitment, and most importantly, growth of the children in the grace and knowledge of their Savior Jesus Christ

Essential Functions:

· Follows the DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules For Group Child Care Centers and the Little Lambs Child Care Policies

· Manage employee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, staff meetings, and professional development

· Scheduling staff needs in relation to children (staff/child ratios)

· Assists in caring for the children enrolled in the center as needed

· Develops Christ center curriculum, educational activities, and programs regarding lesson planning, child observations, developmental screening, field trips

· Establish and maintain ongoing teacher-parent communication and child progress reporting

· Oversee business practices including managing finances, collecting tuition, paying vendors

· Develops marketing or communication plans

· Maintain safe, friendly, and stimulating environments for children

· Manages all required paperwork for the center, including staff/volunteer records, child records, DCF

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Early Childhood or related field

2. Meets Wisconsin Registry level 13 Early Childhood and Youth Development

3. Experience in Early Childhood/Child Care

4. At Least 1 year experience in a supervisory role preferred

5. Ability to interact with children at their cognitive level

6. CPR/AED Certified

7. Must pass background check

Pay will be based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.25 per hour
