Job Description
Our client is looking for an Business Manager to join their growing company and take on the role of the day-to-day operations leader from both a administrative and production perspective. The Business Manager is responsible for understanding and administering the functions of their production and administrative team.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities:
- Acts as lead for administrative team and administrative functions including finance, human resources, safety, etc.
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.
- Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.
- Determines labor needs to meet production goals.
- Assists with, or prepares and updates, organizations operations manual and policies.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Develop and manage budgets with a focus on product costs & margins.
- Commit to plant safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with other managers, customers, and suppliers.
- Assist in developing short and long-term strategies to reduce cost, improve supply chain.
- Participate in and provide support for strategic projects.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing setting and/or industrial setting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Physically capable for nature of work.
