Job Description

This role is responsible for communicating the benefits of the company's services to increase sales. You will be the point of contact for prospects and/or clients and have a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating current and future customers on products through calls, trainings, and presentations, while providing existing customers with exceptional support, information, and assistance. This position incorporates both inside and outside duties including visiting customer sites and taking orders via phone and email.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying potential new clients and/or upselling existing clients.
  • Perform elevator surveys to obtain technical data for accurate sales proposals.
  • Prospecting for new customers, including cold calling and identifying competitive accounts that can be converted to service.
  • Selling quoted repairs/upgrades to existing and prospective maintenance customers.
  • Assist with collections.
  • Work closely with sales and admin teams on requests for new business.
  • Selling value and differentiating products and services on all new contracts.
  • Educating customers on safety issues, code requirements or potential upgrades.
  • Record account/customer activity in CRM/ERP/Accounting software. (Training provided)

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in partially in a general office environment.
  • Frequent travel to clients or potential clients in various locations.
  • Elevator surveys required for maintenance bids
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field helpful but not required.
  • Technical sales experience in construction or industrial equipment service helpful but not required (elevator service highly preferred).
  • Previous commercial and/or residential elevator installation or servicing experience is required.
  • Microsoft office knowledge is required.
  • Possess a positive can-do attitude with strong interpersonal/communication/presentations skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships at all levels.
  • Willingness to prospect and identify new business opportunities. This might entail cold-calling and prospecting for new clients.
  • Highly organized person who can monitor numerous projects at once and who can prioritize opportunities and has the analytical ability and business acumen to focus on profitable wins.
  • Capacity to become knowledgeable on safety issues and code requirements to better position the company to upsell.
