Primary Duties/responsibilities:
- Uploads/downloads for ready cycle for Radio Frequency devices, RFs only.
- Oversee meter reading administrative work and reports to ensure accuracy and conformity to company policy and procedures. This includes, but not limited to, high & low meter reading edits, meter reading exceptions reports, create and follow up on service order relating to meter reading exceptions.
- Set up and maintain billing schedules and liaison with Management and UBS to ensure adherence and accuracy of meter reading uploads/downloads (RFs only).
- Create, maintain and distribute the monthly RCB report.
- Issue and complete service order investigations for high reads, missed cycle reads and compliance issues to meet contractual obligations made with the JCMUA.
- Compliance List Maintenance.
- Coordinate letters for violations, damage equipment, and no access and does 30 day follow up letters.
- Answer phone calls generated from other departments completes calls and relays information to field representatives as needed.
- Handle special projects assigned by Management.
- Discuss and handle issues emailed or called in by Customer Service, Supervision or JCMUA.
- Print all daily and fill in field work.
- Review and investigate all incoming and outgoing Field work.
- Maintain Service order calendar.
- Establish new customer accounts on billing system to ensure all information is accurate and promptly processed.
- Update accounts as needed prior to prime billing and ensuring critical account information recorded in a timely manner.
- Perform non financial/revenue updates to customer accounts as needed to ensure accuracy of data.
- Manual entry of any additional field reads after cycle upload and out of town reads.
- Serves as liaison between the Jersey City Meter Department, JCMUA and Customer Service.
- Receive tax information from the Jersey City Tax Department and update UBS.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be capable of learning and utilizing company software such as but not limited to UBS, Peoplesoft, and meter reading specific software.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Must have valid State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
