Responsibilities:
Server Automation Engineer

The Role:
AMD’s Server Automation team is looking for a highly talented full-stack developer with strong technical skills to help us design and develop our next-generation test automation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work with various teams to build a common automation framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and enhancements of a common automation framework for AMD SPSE team.
  • Design and develop APIs for integration using either Java or Python language.
  • Deploy the application in containerized server infrastructure.
  • Design and Development of web applications and web services.
  • Creating test plans from requirements.
  • Maintain and create unit & integration tests for various applications.

Preferred Credentials:
  • Good knowledge of a high-level programming language like Python or Java.
  • Experience with web service technology like REST, XML, and JSON.
  • Experience with continuous integration frameworks, preferably Jenkins.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong knowledge of integration architectures, best practices, tools, techniques, and platforms.
  • Understanding of the software development process, build & test systems, and automation tools are required.
  • Familiarity with container technology such as docker is preferred.
  • Strong Analytical capability and problem-solving skills with attention to the detail.
  • A willingness to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.

EDUCATION:
  • BS + 5-7 years or MS + 3-5 years of direct experience
