Gonzaga University’s School of Nursing and Human Physiology (SNHP) in Spokane, WA has proposed a plan to reimagine itself as the School of Health Sciences. The school builds on Gonzaga’s commitment to human sciences and health professions in the Jesuit, Catholic, humanistic tradition. Currently in discussions about adding programs in public health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and social work, among others, the school will create an innovative and collaborative approach to health scholarship, teaching, and practice at Gonzaga.
To those ends, Gonzaga seeks to hire a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to serve both short-term and long-term goals related to building new program(s), creating discipline-related infrastructure for students and faculty, setting research goals, teaching, collaborating on assessment and accreditation processes, and leveraging networks of community partners. A qualified candidate will be eligible for a position at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor in Public Health and after completing the initial phase focused on program development and special projects, will assume full-time teaching and research duties outlined in the long-term essential functions.
