Animatronics Specialist - starting rate $24.50/hour
Job Title: Animatronics Specialist: 8 month term of employment
Reports to: Director, Art and Advertising
Directly Supervises: NA
Location: Onsite food store, fabrication studio, travel to other locations required
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
With general guidance from Director of Art and Advertising, the Animatronics Specialist plans, constructs, installs, and maintains animatronics creations for visual impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct animated characters
- Electrical wiring to control system
- Program movements
- Synchronize movements to audio soundtrack
- Periodically record and produce audio soundtrack
- Travel to each food store and wine location to ensure animatronics are operational and conduct repairs, when needed
- Other projects, as required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics; mechanical engineering or electrical engineering a plus, but not required, with 1 to 3 years experience in a related field
- A strong understanding of mathematics
- A vast knowledge in woodworking/carpentry, welding, sculpting, mold making, vacuum-foaming, fiberglass fabrication, and painting
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- Excellent computer skills for programming and synchronizing animation
- Excellent organizational skills
- The ability to multi-task
