ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Overview: GrowGeneration is one of the largest retailers of hydroponic products in the United States and is engaged in the business of marketing and distributing horticultural, organics, lighting and hydroponics products, including lighting fixtures, nutrients, seeds and growing media, systems, trays, fans, filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, timers, instruments, water pumps, irrigation supplies and hand tools.
Position Reports To: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Salary Range: $50K-$52K / DOE
Purpose of Position: Contribute to the day-to-day accounting operations of a large national retailer on a temporary basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Three-way matching PO, verifying items, quantities, and pricing to purchase orders as well following up with stores on orders
- Posting invoices with three-way matching (200+ per week)
- Submitting order errors for any receiving discrepancies and following up on resolutions
- Collecting, printing, scanning and processing vendor invoices daily
- Reconcile E-Commerce accounts for weekly remittances
- Contacting vendors for new services on acquisitions from prior business accounts
- Organize and file vendor correspondence, documents, invoices and statements
- Reviewing monthly credit card charges to reconcile on postings
- Requesting W-9 from vendors and updating tax information in DDI
- Light admin duties such as ordering supplies, business cards, prepare shipping labels and updating store contact lists for Accounting Department
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2 years of clerical accounting experience
- Degree in Accounting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
- Ability to manage various accounting responsibilities in multi databases and multiple ERPs
- Willingness to learn, positive attitude and teamwork
- Work experience using MS office tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Willingness to work onsite (5619 DTC Parkway, Greenwood Village CO, 80111)
