Are you looking to work at a well-respected organization as an Accounting Clerk? Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk for a department at a company in the Non-Profit industry. The Accounting Clerk responsibilities will include matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the Fort Collins, Colorado area.
Major responsibilities
- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
- Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources
- Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Post financial information to journals and ledgers
- Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
- Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
- Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
- Outstanding data entry skills
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Quickbooks Online experience
- Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
- Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Check Runs experience
- Filing experience
