Job Description

Ewald Consulting has an opportunity available for an Account Executive to serve with the title of Executive Director for our clients. The Account Executive will be responsible for the overall management for professional association(s) and ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled to meet or exceed client expectations. This includes providing leadership for the client(s) and management of internal client teams to coordinate the related activities: events, accounting, marketing, sales membership, professional development, information technology, and communications. Role and Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison between client organizations (board, volunteers, committees) and internal client team
  • Manage specific strategic initiatives working with the Board of Trustees in areas such as member value, member benefits, revenue diversification, certification, conference and strategic programs
  • Create and manage an annual operations plan that guides the association(s) activities toward attainment of strategic goals
  • Prepare and manage client financial performance; ensure adherence to budget guidelines and objectives
  • Prepare and present status reports and dashboards to track organizational progress, offer solutions to enhance client success
  • Encourage and assist volunteer leaders, assist board in recruiting talent to volunteer leadership positions and manage volunteer programs
  • Daily communication with staff, members, board members, sponsors and committee members
  • Strong ability to support volunteer members and partner sponsors to drive a strong sense of community and collaboration
  • Identify and develop candidates for board and committees; recruit, interview and on-board candidates to board positions to ensure a smooth transition.

Qualification and Education

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in association management
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership experience working in a team environment
  • Solid PC experience with Microsoft Office suite with a proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Project management experience
  • Financial management experience
  • Time management skills; must be able to balance and prioritize multiple projects

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Certified Account Executive (CAE) designation attractive, but not required
  • Working knowledge of content management systems (i.e., YourMembership)
  • Experience with project management software (i.e., Asana)
  • A consultive mindset and approach to client service
  • An eye toward continuous improvement
  • A team-player mentality

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Travel is required
  • Primarily a general office environment, but onsite client events and meetings is required
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Proof of COVID vaccination required
